Foreign situation

Coated steel was produced in the United States in the mid-1930s. It was originally a narrow strip steel coated steel plate, mainly used in the louvers and thin iron products industry. In 1955, the United States built the first batch of organic coating production lines for broadband steel, and Japan, West Germany, Britain, and France successively built a number of production lines. After the 1960 s, especially in the past two decades, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Brazil and some Eastern European countries have also built a number of production lines.

The output of the United States was less than 100000 t in 1960 and increased to 3 million t in 1978 (including about 650000 t of aluminum strip coating) in 1.2 million in 1966. Domestic situation

In the 1960 s, some factories and research units in China have begun to develop organic coating boards. For example, Shanghai No. 3 Iron and Steel Plant built a 1 x 2m hot-rolled sheet as the original "plastic laminate" production line in 1969. In 1981, Anshan Iron and Steel Company designed, manufactured and put into operation a continuous production line of "plastic laminated" plates with cold-rolled strip steel as the original plate. In 1979, with the support of Shanggang No.3 Factory, Liuhe Town Oxidation and Plastic Coating Factory in Jiangsu Province also built a single plastic film laminated aluminum plate production line similar to the production line of Shanggang No.3 Factory and put it into production. Beijing Iron and Steel Research Institute built a simulated strip steel organic coating test unit in 1982.

China in some of the better conditions of enterprises such as Wuhan Iron and Steel, Baosteel, etc. have been introduced and put into operation the second coating two baking organic coating plate production line. WISCO has introduced a production line with an annual output of 640000 t from the UK. Baosteel has introduced a production line with an annual output of 2.27 million t of organic coating plates to provide organic coating plates to the market.
